Why am I giving a chain pizza place a 4-star rating? Customer service. Last week I ordered our usual of two thin crust plain cheese pizzas for our two boys with autism who are very particular about pizza taste, texture, cut, etc. It is our standard order for when we are just too exhausted to cook. I ordered and paid in advance via app, and asked my husband to pick it up while I ran out to an evening work event. However, as he was en route to pick it up from Fox Mill shopping center, he experienced car trouble and had to abandon the car and walk home with the boys, without their pizzas. Two nights later, I placed our usual order and picked it up myself. I said simply in passing (to the gentleman who turned out to be the manager) that we were sorry we didn't pick up our order the other night, the trouble we had with the car, etc. He kindly suggested that the next time we place our order, to call him first rather than use the app and he would make up for the pizzas we paid for but couldn't pick up. Well tonight I called ahead and got in touch with the manager, and he remembered his kind offer. Not only did he place our order and not charge us, he even set it for free delivery! This was above and beyond...it was not the store's fault that we had car trouble and couldn't grab our order last week, and yet the manager made it right so that we never incurred a loss at all. We just don't experience this kind of personal care and compassion very often, and this next-level customer service was so very appreciated. Papa John's, take note: you have a real gem of a manager here at Fox Mill! Be sure to value his dedication and service to your customers, as we value the exceptional service we received!
